Looky what Mum's getting....
....for me of course!! This is Tink and a new chariot await for me, rr, us when we go up to visit Granna and Grandpa. Mum's been working out all the details and it's quite the car.
from drought to monsoon
Wow, i hadn't realized how long it's been since the last post... we're in for quite a few tonight (hopefully).
Much has been going on in the Rowe world... we'll let Tink tell some of that in the next few posts...

Tink frequently sits/stands in front of the sliding door....
I love to imagine that she is watching the birds in the tree

Thank you
Thank you all who have posted comments of support and who have been a part of Tink's life either with us or at SDR. The amount of support that we as a family is given never ceases to amaze me. I am still amazed at the number of SDR volunteers who check and see what Miss Tink is up to on a regular basis. You guys are awesome; with all that you do for so many dogs, you still have time to read up on Miss Tink and her antics.
We're really excited that we passed the test yesterday. We still have several more steps to complete before we're officially official. Tink has to have a vet check and I have lots of paperwork to fill out and send in to Delta in one big packet. We have 3 months to complete!
Now, none of this is official, but we're looking at starting with a local nursing home where other pet partners go, so we could get a general feel of what we're supposed to be doing and to get more comfortable with our "job." I also have a phone call out for an integrated preschool classroom that has kids with visual impairments in the class. The lady i spoke with on the phone was very interested. Now if i can get my schedule to work out, that would be great!
It's been ridiculously hot over here and Tink and Nick and I have been enjoying the A/C to the fullest. I've been experimenting with the sewing machine and sewing some of Tink's small crate towels together to make larger towels. It was quite the experiment tonight. But of course practice makes perfect! We'll be on to bigger and better things soon!
We went down to Tink's Gram and Pap Rowe's fri night into saturday. It was a nice time of relaxing and good company. Twyla took some pictures which i will post as soon as she get's a spare moment to email them. The kiddie pool was out and Tink had many yummy snacks. And of course, she slept in bed with us (2 twins together, equals a huge bed!!) More pics soon.
PS: Tink is invited to another pool party this weekend and we're going! Who knew she would be so popular!!! And her buddy Gabe will be there too!

Happy Dance Time!!!
Tink and I passed the PPAT and PPST parts of the Delta Society animal assisted therapy test!!!
And actually, we passed with flying colors; all 2s which is the highest you can get : ) She did great, beautiful sit and down, excellent in crowds and with loud noises, being held, etc, etc, etc. I in return helped the situation with appropriate role play "she likes to be petted behind her ears."
We only received a predictable qualification though due to Tink's age and that she will probably experience changes quickly. And that's fine, i'm not planning on any intense visits with her anyways.
Gabe and Auntie LuAnn were there (heehee) and Gabe as usual let Tink know that she's pretty swell (what can we say?!?!)
Sabina, the lady who tested us, actually recommended looking into volunteering with people who are visually impaired... what a great concept! I plan on looking into it!!!
So in short, and as usual, Tinker is amazing!!!

Swimming at Sun Hill
In order for the next series of posts to make sense, please scroll down 5 posts to the beginning of the Sun Hill saga and read up the posts! Enjoy! We certainly did!

While Tinker is working on the doggy paddle, Teagan is working on being the next air dog.
Swimming at Sun Hill
Tinker was invited to a pool party! LuAnn, Sid, & Deb from Tink's Class were taking the dogs swimming over at Sun Hill Kennels and we were invited. Seeing that we were free and knowing it would be fun, we went! I'll be posting the pictures in phases as there are many to post. The first group are mainly pictures of the entire crew.
Nobody told me...
