Dan from life group was kind enough to take our family picture while we were on our walk...what do you think?

It's me and Mommy this weekend!

Well, dad is off to the cabin with uncle zach & nate... which means mum & I have the whole weekend to ourselves! And whats the first thing mum does after dad leaves? she VACUUMS! i hate the vacuum, but i was a good girl and sat on the bed until she finished in the bedroom. Then Auntie Linsdsay came over and i got to snuggle with her & mum while they chit-chatted... and now we're relaxin' in bed & taking it easy : )

And the best part?!?! I GET TO SLEEP IN BED FOR THE NEXT 2 NIGHTS! Now, don't get me wrong, we're going to miss dad terribly, but mum & I will survive, *sniff, sniff*

These pics are from the Pork BBQ evening we had at Nate's earlier in the month....

I ahem, borrowed Plato's bed for a little bit : )

And of course a nice family photo op.

an eventful weekend

Well it was quite the weekend i must say, but we topped it off with a nice relaxing afternoon at granny & papa's pool. Mum & I stayed in the shade but it was warm, so we headed to the shade at the edge of the pool... and slowly made it into the water. Mum was very patient and didn't rush me so it actually was kinda nice to cool off! She never let me out of her arms so i never felt unsafe.

I'm working on my doggie paddle!

We sat over on the steps (seen in this pic) for a while which was nice and relaxing : ) Then mum got a little adventuresome so we went wandering... After our pool escursion i let mum know i had enough so she towelled me off and we sat in the shade, and true to form, i napped : )

After the pool and outside fun we went inside and had some great eats! I even got some yummy meat and carrots and of course home-made cherry vanilla icecream! Then i took a nap next to mum while everyone chit-chatted.

Before I go for the evening i'd just like to thank my Godmamma for her kind words and support. (and for noticing what a sleek looking girl i've become!) Mum, Dad, & I have really appreciated all thats been said to us over the past half year and this weekend. So thank you, our smiles are just a little bigger & brighter as a result.

I'm out, time for more naps! A face as beautiful as mine doesn't happen in 20 short minutes! It takes time and dedication to the art of beauty sleep!

Easter Pt 1:Tinker Meets the Rowe's

So, last sunday (palm sunday) as usual, we went to Nana and Papas for Easter and Lil Tink came along. She had a great time meeting the rest of the family! Although Papa did not appreciate her sitting at the table (ahem, NICK!). She did very well meeting and wanting to meet and say hi to lots of other people! It was great to see. She wasn't very fond of Maddie (Nick's parents Lab) sniffing right at her face, but aside from 2 snaps (neither connected with Maddie), she was fine. Each dog held their distance although Maddie just wanted to play. Tinker apologizes to Maddie for her rather rude behavior and promises to be better next time (see part 2 : Tinker goes to MA).
Tinker also learned that she enjoys Nana's Chex Mix a lot when I tried to save a handful from falling on the floor... I put the handful right in front of Tink and she didn't hesitate for one second!

A Family Affair

All three of us are here to post this evening. Nick has a few things he would like to say. We've realized that Tinker doesn't enjoy reading the newspaper she prefers to pee on it. We've also learned that she greets mommy very differently from daddy even if daddy is the first one home. (mommy doesn't mind the greeting and tinker doesnt mind the belly rub.)

This doesn't look like its going to be a long post... Tinker appears to have slept all day after she knocked her water over and ate the peanutbutter out of her bone and found the cookies in her crate. She did bark as i left this morning... it makes me sad, but i quietly leave knowing that she will settle down.

Tinker would like to let everyone know that she is now taking marrow bone donations, so if anyone has a spare cow, please send bones her way : ) She also wants the world to know that more pictures will be posted as soon as her parents get their act together.

On a side note, work is going really well and i enjoy making music again with so many different clients. What a difference working as a professional has made on my self-confidence! What fun!!!

We're off to have a nice dinner and Tinker is going to sleep the night away! (As usual)

Tinker meets Nana and Papa

Tinker and I headed over to Nana and Papa's this afternoon and again, she was a saint. Sat in the car the whole ride over and back, sat nicely for Nana and for Papa.... slept on my coat during lunch and peed outside like a good girl. Her only bad habit is snoring and no one is faulting her for it : ) It was a nice time visiting and Tink was good as Nana held her. It was so cute to watch her sitting there. It was a wonderful visit : )

Tinker is a bit possessive of mommy when daddy gets home, however. She will easily sleep in her bed for hours during the day as i get things done around the house, but as soon as daddy gets home Tink will not leave mommy alone. What a brat : ) its tough, she's so good with so many things, but i need to keep reminding myself that its been less than a week. She's still going to get nervous when we leave, she still wants to stake her ground and she's still getting used to the environment. Once she realizes we always come back, i'm sure she'll be less nervous.

We're starting to get a better routine down and Tink isn't having nearly as many accidents. I know i can't wait even 5 minutes after she eats else she'll pee. (she's good at training her people!) And while we snuggle a lot she is learning that we can't snuggle all the time. At dinner she stays in her bed and in the car she stays in her seat (of course the harness helps with that!)

I do want to get some nylabones and a kong if i can find a small enough one eventually as Charli suggested. I watched her pace inside the kitchen gate last night and something tells me no toy is going to help that yet... but with time i'm sure she'll settle. She's just so much fun to have around. Since we've gotten her, i havent had to take my "itchy medication" as often, which is nice too. (wow that was a random paragraph!)

I'm going out tonight and Nick's staying home with Tink... it will be interesting to see how she settles in with him. I'll have Nick write about the experience. It will be good bonding time too. She's such a snuggle muffin!
