A week after Labor day, Nick, Tink, and I had the privilidge (courtesy of Gram and Pap Rowe) of spending a long weekend at the outerbanks... here are the pics that Gram sent over to us!

Hello hello! There will be a few posts tonight! Gram Rowe sent some pics over from our OBX trip and from labor day and Auntie Phyllis sent over some pics from the 4th of july weekend!

Teeth brushin'

I think she has a tough life....

Tink has had the wonderful priviledge of entering the world of dental hygiene with good old teeth brushing! She does very well (particularly because there are liver treats given at random times : ) and only fights a little to get at the treats. She had a little bleeding at the beginning but after talking with the vet its possible that i was brushing on her gums instead of her teeth in the back... in any case i'm keeping an eye on it : ) We're getting some plaque of her front teeth and attempting to get rid of her at times, somewhat offensive breath : ) anyhoo, she's good as usual.

The weathers been nice so longer walks have been a priority and all 3 of us are enjoying it : ) There's something relaxing about a nice brisk walk twice a day : )

On the WOOF! board we have a gift exchange and Tink and I are excited to start buying for our giftee! Ok, time for Gilmore girls!

Apprently the vomit stinking hoof doesn't satisfy this hard core chewer! No, no no! she goes for the poor helpless pens and pencils that mom leaves on the floor! the pen & pencil are 2 separate incidents but are being documented for legal charges : )






Dang she's cute though!!!! I'm sure all charges will be dropped with a kiss and cuddle clause : )

misc. sleeping shots

Tink has taken to sleeping as close to me as possible in bed, this particular night she was sleeping between my legs (on the down comforter of course... her bedding of choice). She was just so cute and comfy looking, i couldn't resist snapping a few shots.












Another night, not too long ago she was in a dead sleep, so naturally, as inquisitive parents, Nick and I wondered just HOW deep a sleep she was in. So we placed 2 of her favorite treats in front of her nose, the home-made liver and her Zuke Hip action treats right in front of her nose... it took her about a minute, but man was she up!!! She ate them up and then she was all over the bed looking for more : ) oh the things we do to amuse ourselves : ) (the first pic only has the zuke; the second pic has the liver treat stacked on top--- i think it was the liver that woke her up : )

Mums been home sick since friday and lets just say that i'm enjoying every moment! Sleeping a long time in bed and on the down comforter!!!!!! mmmmm, i love the softness! Don't worry mum is feeling better, i wish she wasn't as much though, it means i need to be back in my crate tomorrow while she's at work.

Even though mum's not feeling well we did get to go for a few nice long walks when the weather is nice, mum says I did really well! and it was fun! ok, off for some dinner! (and if i'm lucky some more liver treats!

Homemade LIVER TREATS!!!

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW my mum & dad love me! they made the yummiest liver treats for me last night. And the whole house STILL smells like them!! mmmhmmmmmmm, they taste so good, i stayed right in the kitchen the WHOLE time they were making them and then baking them. Mum said she put all kinds of good stuff in them, something like organix and no wheat, corn or soy... rie flower and oats instead. and sum flax see stuff for my coat : ) Boy do they LOVE ME and it made a TON!!!! Everytime i come out to the kitchen i double check to see if there's any in my bowl!! (and then i remind them in case they FORGOT!)

and then we had BACON today for lunch... its been a great weekend so far!

Microchipped times 2!!!!!!

Hey all, its Vicki; Tinks here helping : ) We went to woofstock 2006 on Sunday and had beautiful weather, met lots of cool bostons and people and had tink microchipped. After they brought her back out they told us she was ALREADY microchipped and they didn't realize it until after the second one was in. So, I made a phonecall to a local vet on monday and had the second chip scanned. We were HOPING it might tell us more information about our little girl but all we got was that its a homeagain chip and that it was put in but never activated with any information... just that its in a female Boston.... So i was sad and relieved at the same time... sad that there wasn't more information and relieved that there wasn't someone else's name attached to her. So now both chips have the SAME information attached to them. My biggest fear was someone finding her and reading the chip that has no information with it. Who is going to look for a SECOND chip? anyways, we're all set and ready to go. I'm just praying we NEVER need to use them.

On a slightly sadder note, i've had a second vet tell me they think think is a lot older than 6... this lady seemed to this Tink was more along the lines of 10 years old.... 10!!!!?!?!??! It makes me so sad in so many ways...
a) that someone potentially dumped a little old lady of a dog!!!
b) that i have less time with her
c) that she won't live for another 20 years : )

but, this also means that we have MORE time to catch up on which means more spoiling and more love and more affection (if thats possible)

So, i'll use 2000 as her "birthyear" for consistency, but really she could be anywhere from 6-10 years old.... We love this dog so much though it just doesn't matter... although its good to know because we will feed her slightly differently and be extra diligent about supplements and helping her joints and bones.

Sigh, off to start dinner...

Hehe, mum and dad think that i'm so cute and innocent that when they actually catch me chewing on something, they photograph me rather than stopping me! (mind you its only happened TWICE!) They call this evidence, whatever that means! I call it yummy tupperware!

I loved our vacation! And Dad-o took more pictures than we know what to do with!
so here we go!

The waves were so rough and the tide so high that we couldn't go on the beach a few times!! I actaully went swimming in a wave... mum saved me and then we went home and dried off... and took a nice long nap : )

Mum, Dad, and I are going to the beach tomorrow! I'm so excited!!!! Some place called the Outer Barks in North Carolina. Should be lots of fuN!!!! The Pupperatzi are coming too!! we'll be sure to post lots of pics when we return!!!

I miss Grandpa and Granna!

Boy did i have a great week with my Grandpa and Granna! my mum and dad had difficulty taking pictures but i'll have to see what we can find later on!

Grandpa made sure i got out for lots of walks and snuggle times all week! Mum had to make sure he didn't take me with him when they left this morning!

We went up to the cabin for the weekend and even though it rained part of the weekend i still had a great time! Mum and dad were proud of me and my good listening ears! Everyone liked to hold me but there were times when i just wanted my mum and i let them know!
